mesa de cumple con washi tape

El cumple de mi Joaco cayó lunes este año (2015) así que tuvimos que esperar el finde para celebrarlo (Eso de hacerlo durante la semana se acabó ahora que cada vez es más grande y tiene mas responsabilidades, jeje) Sin embargo no quería que pasara por debajo de cuerda por lo que, mientras el estaba en sus clases extra-curricurales, le preparé una mesa (para cenar) de cumple sorpresa decorada con washi tape.

Joaco´s bday was on a Monday this year (2015) so we had to wait for the weekend to celebrate it (now that he´s growing up and that he has responsibilities, celebrating bdays on a weekday is a no no, lol) Nonetheless, I didn´t want him to think that it wasn´t a special day so, while he was in his extra curricular activities I  set up a special table decorated with wash tape.

Soy amante de los washi tape y cada vez que veo uno (sea en la tienda que sea) lo compro porque se pueden hacer mil y un proyectos, son super versátiles y decorativos.  Para este proyecto necesitas un mantel de papel, y washi tapes variados. Sólo tienes que hacer individuales (un rectángulo) en el mantel de papel blanco en cada uno de los puestos de la mesa que vayas a decorar y listo! una idea sencilla, rápida y que dice "te quiero y eres especial."

I love wash tape and evrytime I spot one (no matter the store) I buy it because you can make tons of things with them, they´re super versatile and decorative.  For this project you´ll need a paper table "cloth" and lots of wash tapes. You just have to make rectangles in each place setting and that´s it! A simple and easy to make idea that screams "I love you and you're special."

También los utilizo para decorar los regalos y darles un toque muy detodounlolo. Así quedó el de Joaco. 

I also use them to decorate gifts and give them a detodounlolo special touch. This id how Joaco´s gift came out.

el alma de Luzón

Hace ya varios días visitamos las Bodegas Luzón. Aprovechamos uno de esos fines en los que no tienes mucho que hacer y nos aventuramos a conocer la bodega y catar su vino. Las bodegas son fruto de la unión de varios viticultores y que gracias a sus nuevos compradores - como en el 2005- son lo que son hoy en día. Una bodega moderna e innovadora en la que se funden la tradición y lo moderno.

It has been a few days since we visited the Luzon winery. We took advantage of one of those weekends where you have nothing to do, and drove there to see the winery and taste their wine. This winery is the fruit of several winemakers and, thanks to the new stockholders- since 2005- they´ve become what they are nowadays. A modern and innovative winery were tradition and modern techniques come together.

Durante la visita nos explicaron cómo elaboran su vino, el tiempo que permanece en la barrica, los tipos de barrica que utilizan (roble francés o americano) y hasta visitamos le santuario, que es donde guardan vinos que no se venden y que le permiten ver la evolución de cada uno.

During the visit they explained how the produce their wine, the time it remains in the casks, the types they use (French or American Oak) and we even visited the Sanctuary, where they keep the wine that they don´t sell and that allows them to check how they evolve over time.

La visita culminó con la cata de tres de sus vinos, una blanco y dos tintos. ¡Muy ricos! Me hubiese gustado fuera un grupo menos numeroso para que la cata fuese más detallada o personalizada... pero de todas formas, la pasamos muy rico.

The tour ended with a wine tasting of three of the ones they produce. A white wine and two red ones. Both very good! It would have been nicer to have a smaller group during the visit. That way the tasting would have been nor personal and detailed... nonetheless we had a great time.
